Blog Revamp!

Hello Blog Friends :)
I am currently up at 1:47am CST learning a lot about blogging templates and fun stuff that will enhance my blog and make it easier to follow and enjoy!  Hopefully it will be done by tomorrow, but either way I will resume my daily blogging tomorrow (after weeks of admittedly sucking at blogging).  So suit up and hold on....this should be a fun ride.

Brand New Fitness Report

Okay :-)  I officially need to lose some weight.  I stepped on the scale tonight and was shocked.  I have not weighed this amount since I was pregnant with my daughter in 2006.  Gah!  I decided to document my starting measurements and weight and will track my progress and tips every Monday.  So without further ado, my beginning measurements!
Weight: 124.5 ( no judgments please)
Right Bicep- 11.5     Left Bicep- 12
Right Thigh- 22.5      Left Thigh- 22
Right Calf- 13.5        Left Calf- 13.5
Hips- 37.5
Waist- 32
2" above naval- 30.5     2" below naval- 34.5


Now keep in mind that I use the Bowflex measurement scale.  I started my work out routine tonight.  I have not really done any cardio since my brain surgery in December 2010 and this was my first time really on my elliptical.  I was able to do 5 minutes.  That is ridiculous for me.  I was a gymnast for 18 years.  I am mortified by my very weak stamina and quite frankly embarrassed.  I have planned on adding 2 additional minutes every day until I can officially do 30 minutes without being short winded.  I have also started eating different and am really really trying hard to give up fast food and soda.  For those who know me personally, you already know how gruesome this will be for me.  I just know that my motivation is feeling sexy and confident while lying on the beach in August.
When I was in high school, I struggled deeply with anorexia.  This makes exercise and dieting a semi-touchy topic for me.  And I am really really sick of my Fitness magazine making me promises that if I follow the latest fab I will have instant Lean Legs, Flat Abs and a Firm Butt.  So, this my way to track my progress, keep me motivated and force me to stay on top of it.  I will also be able to pass on the tips that have worked.  Keep checking back every Monday for a new tip and to cheer me on with the progress I have made.


Tip #1  Find a friend.  Use this friend to motivate you.  If you have someone to work out with, you are more likely to actually complete a workout.  Even if its a neighbor that you take a short walk around the block with.  There are more medical benefits to working out with a friends too!  Being social and having someone to share with actually helps reduce stress and lower your blood pressure.  So get in shape, spend time with someone you care about and feel better..ALL THE WAY AROUND!!!

Weekly Line Up :-)

Okay..In a VERY strong effort to remind myself/motivate myself to try new things and blog about them, I have created a weekly line up.  Basically, I will blog daily about different topics that will hopefully keep you intrigued and wanting more.  So heads up, this is my weekly line up:

Monday will be my fitness post.  I will track my progress, goals and tips.  Some tips will come from my fitness magazines but most of them will be things that I have tried and have proved to be successful.  I would love for my blog family to post their progress and tips for me too!

Tuesday will be my family post day.  I will post about topics that my family members are dealing with.  I will also use this day to talk about my trials and tribulations of living with a child who has Aspergers.

Wednesday will be my fashion/beauty product review day.  I am going to start trying new beauty/fashion products and let you guys know what I thought and where you can pick up the same items for a nice affordable price.  

Thursday will be my free post day.  I will use this day to write about whatever seems to be on my mind that day.  I would love people to give me topics that they would like to hear about, I will give my opinion and the opinions of other people who I admire.

Friday is my reflection day.  I will reflect on the week and decide what I am happy with and unhappy with and what I can do to change.

Saturday will be my bible/poem or story day.  I will post something that really touches my heart and soul and that I think would really touch other people. 

Sunday is my new recipe day.  I will try a new recipe every week and on Sunday I will post the recipe and my thoughts and notes on the food.  

I hope that you guys will tune in daily to get a sample of how I manage my madness  :-)

So I know that I have no followers yet (besides kate from kateasoflate) but this is intended to allow people to get to know some stuff about me and hopefully fall in love with my madness and become my blog family.  So here goes:

I guess I could say that I am overly bubbly.  That really bothers people sometimes.

Regret:
I cant say that there is anything that I truly regret.  I wish that I could rearrange the order in which I did a lot of things but I do not regret anything in my life.  Everything I did or didn't do got me to where I am now.

Tuxedo Hot Chocolate!!!!  Ah-mazing!


Thrift Find of the Year: 
I find everything at the local thrift store ( platos closet, goodwill, ect) and also craigslist!  I found my daughter a Rothschild winter coat ( retail 780.00) for only $35.00

We vacation in Fort Walton Beach, Florida every Summer!!!
